From the moment you arrive at ACE Canada Adventure Camp, you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the location. We are situated in Squamish, BC on more than 7 acres of pristine lawns, gardens and trees surrounded by majestic views of mountains and waterfalls. Be sure to bring your camera, because you will want to start taking pictures as soon as you arrive.

Squamish is located half way between Vancouver and Whistler (the host of the 2010 winter Olympics).

Each student will be assigned a dormitory tent. Boy’s dormitory tents are located in one area of the camp property and girls in the other. Each dormitory is chaperoned 24 hours a day by one of our instructors.

There are at least 4 camp instructors on site to ensure that each student receives constant attention and tutoring.

I have been teaching in China for 4 years now, two years at Yang-En University in Fujian province and currently I am at Sanda University in Jiashan, Zhejiang province. I very much enjoy teaching university-age students and over the years, have formed many wonderful and lasting friendships. I’m excited about being a camp teacher and counselor at ACE Canada this summer in Squamish, B.C.

I was born and raised near Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Before moving to China in 2004, I lived in western Canada for 15 years. Prior to teaching, my major employment field was Human Resources. I have lots of business knowledge and experience to share with my students.

I believe ACE Canada is an excellent way for students to experience beautiful British Columbia Canada while improving their English skills. The camp offers a number of fun and exciting adventures in both the vibrant city of Vancouver and beautiful rural Squamish. I look forward to sharing my wonderful country with our camp students.

If you would like to contact me directly with any questions, please email me at dave@acecamp.ca and I will get back to you.

I was born in Nassau, the capital city of the beautiful Bahama Islands. From the age of three months old, I was raised in the Kootenay region of British Columbia. After University, I decided to try something different and moved to China’s Fujian Province to teach Business English. I immediately fell in love with the culture, the breathtaking scenery and the Chinese people. My original plan was to spend only one year in China but it has now been four wonderful years and counting. I love teaching in China!

I am an avid runner and some of my other hobbies include basketball, tennis and volleyball. Any of my friends will tell you that I am always willing to try a new sport even if I am not good at it (such as my students in Shanghai trying to teach me to play table tennis). My major passion is music. I have been playing the guitar for about 15 years and I find that music is a unique way to make learning interesting and is one of the best ways to learn a language.

It has always been a dream of mine to be able to share with my students the culture and beauty of Canada in a way that books and photos cannot always convey. I am looking forward to meeting a new group of students in camp this summer and offering them a rewarding and memorable experience. I am excited to be a part of ACE Canada.

I am very excited to be hosting ACE Canada Adventure Camp on my property in Squamish, B.C.!

I currently work at Quest University Canada with international students from all regions of the world. Since 2006, I have advocated for students in the university admission process, assisted students with the Canadian study permit process, and helped students adjust to living in Canada.

Prior to my work with Quest University Canada, I taught English in Korea and Taiwan, worked as a youth worker at a high school in Vancouver, B.C. and taught at an English support program for elementary school children who had recently moved to Canada.

I graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology. I enjoy learning about different cultures and believe it is important to travel extensively to get first-hand knowledge. Traveling is a great way to work on your language skills!

Squamish is not only a great place to work on your English skills but also a great place to try new activities. I enjoy rock climbing, downhill mountain biking, hiking, swimming, trail running, playing soccer, and much more. The outdoor environment of Squamish has so much to offer.

I look forward to working with you. If you have any questions or just want to chat, please feel free to contact me at keely@acecamp.ca

I graduated from Central South University in Hunan province, and I am currently living in Jiashan, (Zhejiang province) where I was born and raised. I am so glad and honored to be a part of the ACE Camp team.
